I thought I was a pretty good autocrosser, I am not. Videos and pictures to come soon. Had a blast, highly recommend it

Nationals is super humbling. I can never go because I’m a school teacher and it is a pain to take off a couple of days at the beginning of the year; however, our region has a number of fast guys who go each year and I’m always surprised when only some of them trophy.

Random, but I was looking back at an old post today and had no idea you’d be around as long as you have.
Anytime I look back at old things like that I’m surprised how a lot of people have been around a long time.

I still think it’s awesome you went out there. I can only imagine how humbling that experience is.
It’s amazing seeing many of the top drivers from the 3 regions I have run in this season have run mid-pack at best.
I watched some course videos on YouTube and they certainly looked challenging. I would have loved to run them in person. It’s definitely on my bucket list to do now.

I’m generally in the top 5-10 raw time locally among all drivers, but at nats I finished 39th out of 46 in my class. Now when I tell rookies I’m not fast I can explain no, really, I’m not fast.
Certainly didn’t help that I was bone stock besides tires. Definitely getting shocks, swaybar, and alignment in the offseason so I can give it another shot next year.

We had a few members with big trophies, but I never felt I was THIS far off of them. Super proud of my Wichita region drivers though, some of us were slow but we had a solid group attend and some fantastic results.

It’s always weird to see old stuff of yourself on the internet, and it’s surprising what sticks. I was super active on a flight simulator forum throughout high school and well into college and thought I’d be there forever and I disappeared. I think I’ve been on oppo since 2011?

I agree, it’s always weird to go back in time on the internet.
I became less active on oppo once I moved into my fraternity house my 4th year of college. Never thought I’d leave all together, well until kinja happened. I remember you had to click an arrow button to get to the next comment, it was terrible.
